Must-Visit Coffee Shops in Savannah
Savannah has a charm that sneaks up on you in the best way. The cobblestone streets, oak trees draped in Spanish moss, and soft pastel homes make it feel like you’ve stepped into another era. When I visited, I spent my days wandering without much of a plan—slow walks through Forsyth Park, getting lost along River Street, popping into small boutiques, and letting the city set the pace.
Somewhere between all of that exploring, I realized Savannah’s coffee scene deserves just as much attention as its history. I made it a point to stop at as many cafés as I could, using coffee breaks as little pauses throughout the day. Each spot felt completely different—some cozy and familiar, others modern and lively, filled with students, locals, and creatives. Those coffee stops ended up being some of my favorite moments of the trip, grounding the experience and making Savannah feel warm, lived-in, and quietly unforgettable.
The Collins Quarter
Part Australian café, part Southern charm, The Collins Quarter quickly became one of those places I didn’t want to rush. The menu is packed with brunch favorites, but the coffee is just as much of a standout. I ordered a lavender mocha that was perfectly balanced—softly floral, not overly sweet—and took my time savoring it. I grabbed a seat outside and watched Forsyth Park slowly come to life, runners passing by and the morning light filtering through the trees. The Forsyth Park location feels especially dreamy for a slow start to the day and easily became one of my favorite coffee moments in Savannah.
Foxy Loxy Café
Foxy Loxy feels like that kind of neighborhood coffeehouse you stumble into and immediately want to stay awhile. The space is cozy and eclectic, filled with local art and little corners that invite you to slow down. I ordered a horchata latte and a slice of quiche, and both were so good I genuinely considered coming back the very next morning. They also have a tucked-away courtyard that’s perfect for stepping outside, sipping your coffee, and enjoying a quieter moment away from the street.
The Coffee Fox
If you’re wandering through the Historic District and need a caffeine break, The Coffee Fox is an easy, reliable stop. It has a modern look but still feels relaxed and welcoming—no fuss, just really good coffee. I grabbed a cortado and one of their house-made pastries, and it was exactly what I needed: quick, satisfying, and high quality before heading back out to explore.
Origin Coffee Bar
Sleek, bright, and effortlessly cool, Origin Coffee Bar felt like a breath of fresh air. With its minimalist design and floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer than planned. I ordered a vanilla cold brew, and it was smooth, creamy, and incredibly refreshing—perfect for a warm Savannah afternoon when the city feels slow and sun-soaked.
Gryphon
Housed in a stunning historic building, Gryphon feels like stepping straight into another era. The stained glass, rich wood paneling, and thoughtful details make it feel more like a hidden tea room than a typical café. Run by the Savannah College of Art and Design, it blends coffee, tea, and artful design seamlessly, creating an experience that feels both refined and welcoming. I lingered longer than I planned, soaking in the atmosphere as much as the drink in my cup. Gryphon isn’t just a place to grab coffee—it’s a moment to slow down and appreciate Savannah’s timeless elegance.
PERC Coffee
PERC is bold, colorful, and packed with personality. It has that effortlessly cool energy where you can tell the people behind the bar really know their craft. This is the kind of place coffee lovers naturally gravitate toward—and for good reason. I ordered a seasonal latte that struck the perfect balance between creative and comforting, and the upbeat playlist set the tone the moment I walked in. Between the expertly made drinks and the lively vibe, PERC felt like a fun, energizing stop that added a little extra spark to my Savannah coffee tour.
The Paris Market
Part café, part curated boutique, The Paris Market is pure eye candy from the moment you walk in. You can order a latte or a macaron at the café counter, then slowly wander through the space, taking in the French-inspired home goods, books, and beautifully styled corners. I ordered an iced latte and took my time exploring, and for a moment it genuinely felt like I’d been transported to a quiet Parisian side street. It’s the kind of place where coffee turns into an experience—and where you’ll want to linger just a little longer than planned.
Mirabelle Savannah
Mirabelle is best known for its made-to-order waffles, and they pair perfectly with a rich cappuccino. The café itself is small but full of charm, and the view from the front windows—looking straight out at the Cathedral Basilica—makes it one of the most picturesque coffee stops in the city. It’s the kind of place that feels special without trying too hard.
Vic’s Coffee Bar (inside Vic’s on the River)
If you’re spending time along the waterfront, Vic’s Coffee Bar is an easy and cozy stop for a caffeine break. I ordered a flat white to go and sipped it while strolling along the river, taking in the views and the breeze. You really can’t beat the location for a simple, scenic coffee moment.
Café Taureau
Café Taureau felt like one of those local secrets you’re glad you stumbled upon. The coffee is rich, the pastries are fresh, and the vibe is relaxed and genuinely welcoming. I had a latte and ended up chatting with the barista about their rotating bean selection—it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular, even on your very first visit.
Cafe M
Cafe M is a little slice of France tucked along Bay Street. The moment you walk in, you’re met with the comforting smell of fresh croissants and espresso. I ordered a café au lait with a warm almond croissant, and for a brief moment it felt like I was sitting in a Paris café overlooking the Seine—except instead of Paris, it was Savannah’s historic waterfront unfolding just outside.
Savannah has a way of inviting you to slow down—whether you’re wandering beneath oak trees, lingering in a park, or savoring a quiet cup of coffee between adventures. Each café I visited added its own layer to the experience, turning simple coffee breaks into moments I’ll always associate with the city’s warmth and charm. If you’re planning a trip, I can’t recommend building in time to explore Savannah one coffee stop at a time—it’s one of the best ways to truly feel the city.
